Don’t forget that Saturday is the Curt Simmons Day Parade. I ask you to please take your instrument with you at the conclusion of Thursday’s High School Concert so that we can all report directly to the parade site on Saturday. I am also seeking a volunteer who can transport the banner to the parade site — if you have a larger vehicle and can do so, please let me know on Thursday. THE SCHOOL WILL NOT BE OPEN PRIOR TO THE PARADE! We will be meeting at the Shepherd of the Hills Church parking lot in Egypt by 10:45 AM. The parade will begin at 11:30 AM and we will likely be finished by 12 Noon or so at Egypt Memorial Park. At the conclusion of the parade, I will have the school open for 30 minutes if you wish/need to drop off equipment/instruments. Anything not returned immediately after the parade will need to be brought back another time. Attire is maroon band polo, black pants, and marching shoes. Looking further ahead for those of you returning next season, please do not forget about our June Mini-Camp (June 6, 7, and 8), which will be our first time putting ALL members (new and returning) together to begin early preparations for the 2017 field show. Those rehearsals will be 6-9 PM. Also, on Wednesday, June 7, we ask that parents please attend a mandatory meeting in the HS LGI ROOM (*note the different location!) starting a 6:00 to go over all of the important paperwork, policies, and procedures for membership in the marching band. Please make every effort to attend!
